The holiday season is a special time when we remember our loved ones. We meet as a family to look at the sky together in search of the “first star” and sit down to supper. However, we always remember people who have no one to spend Christmas Eve with.
Continuing last year’s tradition of the „Kopalnie Świętego Mikołaja (Mines of Saint Nicholas)”, this year the Kaganek Foundation invited the charges of the Academic Educational Center in Podzamcze Chęcińskie to take part in the action. The Foundation received 31 handwritten letters. The center brings together children from various families, mainly dysfunctional, in need of support and strengthening their self-esteem. These are foster children who, for the most part, have never received parental attention and have not experienced the Christmas atmosphere.
Thanks to your good hearts, commitment, devoting your time and money, we showed a group of young people, experienced despite their young age by fate, having difficult relationships with their families (or having no families), that it is not that no one is interested in them. After visiting them, I am convinced that we gave them faith in other people. I would like to thank all involved and wish you a merry Christmas with your family. Each gift ended up in the hands of the people who wrote the letter.
Employees showed that they are not indifferent to the fate of other people. The Kaganek Foundation contributed to making the dreams of the children of the Center come true and contributed to building their self-esteem.
